About journalvoxy

People who build and run live studios

journalvoxy brings together working directors, camera operators, lighting designers and sound engineers to share what makes television news and live shows run smoothly.

Our mission

Studio production is a craft of small decisions: where a cable runs, how a camera is balanced, how a key light is angled, how a fader is set. journalvoxy exists to make those decisions clearer and more repeatable for UK studios of every size.

We focus on the practical side of studio production in motion: setting up equipment, operating cameras dynamically, shaping light and sound, and building workflows that stay calm under live pressure.

What we stand for

  • Reliability first

We favour routines and redundancy that keep a show on air when something goes wrong.

  • Clarity

Plain-English guidance for crews, producers and presenters, free of unnecessary jargon.

  • Respect for the crew

Good workflows protect people: sensible hours, safe floors and calm communication.
